1/2 c. butter (not margarine)
2 1/2 heaping Tbsp. powdered sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla
scant 1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour

3/4 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:

Soften and cream butter. Add sugar, Sift flour and salt. Work all ingredients into mixture, adding nuts last.

Roll into cookies the size and shape of a lady's ring finger (maybe a little shorter and fatter). Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 300º until slightly brown (about 25 minutes).

Roll warm fingers in powdered sugar.


This was one of my Granny Lorene Williams' Christmas baking recipes. They were Shelley's favorite cookies. They are not very sweet.
