1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. salt
5 heaping tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. HOT coffee
Directions:
Directions:
Grease sides of 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Combine sugar and shortening (can use butter). Mix well. Add eggs, vanilla, baking soda, flour, sour milk, salt, and cocoa. Mix well for about 4 minutes. Add coffee. Mix. Pour into cake pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

To make sour milk, combine whole milk and a capful of vinegar and mix well.
