1 1/4 stick margarine (divided)

5 c. fruit, including juice
2 c. sugar (divided)

2 Tbsp. corn starch
1/2 c. water

1 c. milk
2 c. self-rising flour

Directions:
Directions:

Melt 3/4 stick margarine in 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan in 350º oven.

Heat fruit, 1 c. sugar, and cornstarch, mixed with water, in a saucepan.

Combine 1/2 stick margarine, flour, 1/2 cup sugar and milk. Stir as for cornbread. Pour over melted butter in pan.

Spoon fruit mixture evenly over batter.

Bake until brown (about an hour).
