2 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (about 8 1/2 ounces of cookies, finely crushed)
1/2 cup melted butter

Filling:
3 8-ounce packages cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 6-ounce package milk chocolate chips
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Amaretto
1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping:
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons Amaretto
toasted almonds or chocolate sprinkles

Crust:
Combine cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press onto bottom and sides of a 10-inch springform pan. Set aside.

Filling:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate chips with butter and let cool five minutes.

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually blend in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat in chocolate melted with butter. Mix in sour cream. Add Amaretto and vanilla and beat well. Pour into springform pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 65 minutes, or until just set. Remove from oven, spread with mixture of sour cream and Amaretto (Topping), and return to oven for 3 minutes. Cool, then chill. Garnish with toasted almonds or chocolate sprinkles.

For the cookie crust, I prefer to use Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers. Rita found this recipe somewhere, and it's easier to make than it might seem.
