2 to 2.5 lbs ground beef, browned and drained
1/4 cup chopped onion, added to ground beef while browning
2 garlic cloves, minced, added to ground beef while browning

1 green pepper very finely chopped in food processor
16 oz BBQ sauce
4 oz Ketchup
2 T brown sugar
1 T cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef with onions and garlic, drain. Mix beef and all other ingredients in a large pot and simmer on med-low for 20-30 minutes. Add Tabasco, diced jalapenos, hot sauce, etc. to get to your preferred taste.

For sloppy Joes, mix the same as above except do not use food processor for green peppers, only finely dice and also, add ¼ cup diced banana peppers and 1T chili powder.

Great recipe from my little league in Indy for quick chili dogs, meat topping for nachos or can be tweaked for great sloppy Joe’s.
