2 c. apple cider
1 c. pineapple juice
1 c. cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
6 juniper berries
2 oranges, quartered
2 (750 ml) bottles dry red wine
1 c. dark rum

Combine first 7 ingredients in large pot. Squeeze in juice from quartered oranges; add peels. Bring to simmer; let simmer 5 min. Add wine and rum and cook over low heat just until warmed through, about 10 min (do not simmer). Ladle grog into glasses, leaving whole spices and orange peels in pot. Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick, if desired.
