Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 pkg. wonton squares
1/2 lb. shredded cooked chicken (2 lg. chicken breasts)
1 head lettuce, cut up
3-4 green onions, chopped
1/4 c. almond slivers (toasted)

Dressing:
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 T. vinegar
1/4 c. oil

Directions:
Directions:
First, make the dressing so that it can cool. Heat sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar in a sauce pan until sugar is dissolved. Let cool. Add oil and mix well.

Cut wontons into fourths (strips). Fry wonton strips over
medium heat in enough oil to cover bottom of fry pan and
allow strips to puff up. They brown really fast, so turn and
remove quickly. Drain on a paper towel and set aside. Toss
together chicken lettuce, green onions and almonds.

When ready to serve, pour dressing over the salad and toss. Add fried wonton strips last. Serve immediately.
