Red Sauce:
1/2 c. butter
2 large onions, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
2 qt. tomatoes, chopped
1 1/2 tomato paste
1 1/2 lbs. meat (hamburger / sausage)

White Sauce:
1/2 c. of butter
1/2 c. flour
1 qt. half and half

Other Ingredients:
1 lb. of dry lasagna noodles or 2 lbs. of wet
2 lbs. of Parmesan cheese

Red sauce:
Melt 1/2 c. of butter in a large pot with olive oil. Saute onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning together until onion is transparent. Puree tomatoes and add with tomato paste into pot. When boiling, add meat with salt, simmer for 1 hour.

White Sauce:
Melt 1/2 c. of butter in another pan. Add flour and whisk together for 1 minute. Whisk in half and half and cook on medium / low until thick. Stir often.

Pour 1/2 c. of red sauce in bottom of a 13X9 pan. Layer with 3 noodles, 1 c. red sauce, 1 c. white sauce and 1 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, repeat 3+ times ending with Parmesan on top. (Should have enough for another 8x8 pan.) Cook at 350º for 30 minutes.
