1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar (white & brown)
2 eggs
2 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. each of salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
1 c. raisins or chocolate chips
1/2 - 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugars, add eggs and applesauce. Add mixed dry ingredients. Stir in raisins or chocolate chips and nuts.
Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
