FILLING:
1 box chopped dates
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 box dark sugar (I use 1 cup)
2 eggs
5 tbsp. butter
PIE CRUST:
1 big pkg cream cheese (I used 8 oz)
2 sticks butter
3 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
FILLING:
Beat the eggs; add butter and brown sugar. Beat to dissolve lumps. Add nuts and dates.
PIE CRUST:
Cut the butter and cream cheese into the flour as for a regular pie crust. Form a soft ball with your hands.
ASSEMBLY:
make small balls of the pie dough and press into mini cupcake molds. Fill with the walnut/date mixture. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the pie crust is a delicate brown.
