Fresh Apple Pie Recipe

6 c. diced apples

1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. apple pie spice
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar

1 9-inch pie shell

2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour


Combine and sift nutmeg, apple pie spice, flour and 1 cup sugar. Sprinkle over apples and toss to coat. Spoon into pie shell.

Combine lemon juice with melted butter, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup flour and sprinkle over apple mixture in pie shell.

Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake one hour.
