1-1/2 c thinly sliced onions
3 T butter
6 c beef broth
1/4 t black pepper
6 slices toasted French bread
1 c grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter. Add beef broth and pepper. Simmer 30 minutes. Divide equally into 6 ovenproof bowls. Top each bowl with a slice of bread and 1/6 c Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min or until cheese melts.
