2 t. BAKING POWDER
1/2 C. COLD WATER
1 t. ORANGE OR LEMON EXTRACT

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES, GREASE AND FLOUR 8" PAN.
iN MED. BOWL BEAT EGGS UNTIL LIGHT IN COLOR AND CONTINUE BEATING WHILE GRADUALLY ADDING SUGAR AND THICK AND LIGHT IN COLOR.
SIFT FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER IN SEPERATE BOWL. ADD TO EGG MIXTURE AND BEAT WELL.
ADD WATER AND EXTRACT UNTIL WELL BLENDED.
POUR INTO PAN AND BAKE 25-30 MIN. OR UNTIL BROWNED AND TOOTHPICK COMES OUT CLEAN.
COOL IN PAN AND THEN CUT INTO SQUARES AND SERVE AS DESIRED.
