3 c. flour
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 T. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
4 T. water

Directions:
Directions:
Put flour and salt in bowl, add shortening and blend until coarse crumbs are formed. In small bowl beat egg, vinegar and water. Add to flour mixture and mix lightly until flour is all moistened. (Add a few drops of additional water, if needed.)

To make single baked pie shells, divide into 4 pieces. Roll out, fit into pans and prick with fork. Bake at 425º for 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
