1/2 c. sliced almonds
3 T. sugar
1/2 head iceberg lettuce
1/2 head romaine lettuce
1 avocado, sliced
1 c. chopped celery
2 whole green onions, chopped
1 11 oz. can mandarin oranges
1 c. red grapes

Dressing:
1/2 tsp. salt
dash pepper
2 T. sugar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 T. vinegar
dash of tabasco sauce
1 T. chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
In a small pan over medium heat cook almonds and sugar, stirring constantly until sugar is melted and almonds are coated. Spread almonds on a cookie sheet and let cool. Mix together all dressing ingredients and let chill. In a large bowl combine the lettuces, celery, onions, grapes, and avocado. Just before serving add mandarin oranges and almonds. Toss with dressing.
