Directions:
Directions:

1. Peel and quarter apples
2. Build a fire with bark.
3. Put sulfur in fire.
4. Place apples in container over fire.
5. Place smoked apples in a whiskey barrel (55 gallon) to add flavor.
6. Preserve them for use during the winter.
7. Types of apples: Black Ben Davis, Early Harvest (ripen at frost).
8. Fry apples with butter.
