1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
2 apples finely chopped
(sour milk = milk + vinegar)
1 pear chopped (optional)


Topping:

1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 T. soft butter
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add to beaten mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in chopped fruit. Spread batter in a greased 9" x 13" pan. Combine topping mixture in a bowl and spread over batter. Bake at 350º F for 35 to 45 minutes.

Cake will be lighter and more flavor if a peeled finely chopped pear is added to the apples.
