1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced/crushed
15 oz can tomato sauce
garlic powder
chili powder
cumin (optional)
1/4 head lettuce
6 oz cheddar cheese, grated
2 medium tomatoes, cut up
scallions, cut up (optional)
salsa (optional)
sour cream (optional)
1 lb bag Doritos (spicy nacho recommended) or tortilla chips

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef in large skillet and drain grease.
Add onion, garlic, and tomato sauce, bring to a boil and simmer
Stir in garlic power, chili power, and cumin to taste, simmer 15-20
min
Serve meat sauce on plate, sprinkle with lettuce, cheese, tomato,
and scallions; top with salsa and sour cream
Mix and eat with chips.

has yet to cook anything he prefers. (This is meant to reflect
the excellence of the taco salad, not Jennifer's cooking skill.)
Replace beef with refried beans or other meat substitute to
make vegetarian.
This dish is ideal for a casual meal because people can
combine the components in the proportions they prefer, and
it's fun to eat!
