1 9 inch baked pie shell
1 quart fresh strawberries, cleaned
1 pkg Cool Whip or Reddi Whip

Glaze for pie:
1 3/4 cup cold water
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
Pinch of salt
1 small box strawberry Jello
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cook water, sugar, cornstarch and salt until dissolved. Bring mixture to boiling point, add 1 small box strawberry Jello. Let cook until it starts to thicken. Add 1 tsp vanilla. Leave in refrigerator until almost jelled. Place strawberries into pie shell and pour thickened glaze over the berries. Chill. Later add a ring of Cool Whip around the top of the pie.
