8 to 10 small potatoes, scrubbed and halved
10 slices of bacon, cut into large bits
4 T butter or margarine, melted
salt
pepper
sugar
6 apples or pears, peeled, cored and quartered

Directions:
Directions:
Put potatoes (cut side down), bacon, and butter or margarine into a casserole; add salt, pepper, and sugar to taste. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes. Add the apples or pear and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer, or until potatoes and fruit are tender.
