2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs
1 (15 oz.) can of fruit cocktail, undrained
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl combine flour,sugar, salt and baking soda. Add eggs and mix well. Add UNDRAINED fruit cocktail. Pour into a greased and floured 9x11 pan. Mix brown sugar and pecans. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake at 350º for 30 to 45 min. Cool completely before pouring on icing.

ICING
3/4 cups of sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3/4 stick margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix first three ingredients together in a sausepan and boil for 2 min. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour cooled cake.

This is a very moist cake. It has an old fashioned taste. The fruit, nuts and caramelized icing taste great together.
