4 to 5 C Water
4 ounces cake yeast OR 4 Tbsp dry yeast
1 C honey
1/2 C shortening
5 C whole wheat flour
7 C white flour
1 1/2 C potato flakes
1 whole egg (optional)
1 1/2 Tbsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water (chill off or room temperature as hot will kill the yeast). Add honey. Now add all other ingredients (make sure that salt is mixed with dry ingredients before adding to the liquid as salt will also kill the yeast).

Knead by hand (or) machine for 15 minutes.
Let dough rise to double.
Cut into 6 equal pieces; round tight and let rise again to almost double.
Grease and flour dust loaf pans (6).
Form loaves, place in pans, and let rise to 1 to 2 inches above top of loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350º and bake for 30 minutes.
Slice and enjoy!
