Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 lbs russet potatoes or Idaho potatoes
3/4 cup milk
1/2 stick butter
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes in water until very soft. Drain water off and add butter, milk, salt and pepper to potatoes. You may leave the skin on if you want a real country mash, or peel the potatoes for a creamier potato. Mash until you get consistency you desire. Some people like them very creamy, while others prefer a slight lumpy texture left in the potatoes and the skin on. The salt and butter are key to bringing out the flavor, so don't skimp.
