1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup cream sherry
½ cup sour cream
4 eggs
½ cup poppy seeds

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
¼ cup cream sherry
¼ cup lemon juice & water

Directions:
Directions:
For cake: Combine all ingredients ending with poppy seeds in a bowl of mixer. Beat for 5 minutes. Pour into prepared Bundt pan. You may also use a 9-10” tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

For sauce: Combine all ingredients (starting with butter) in a small saucepan. Boil for 1 minutes. Pour sauce over cake when removed from oven but still in pan. Shake pan a bit to help sauce absorb. Let cake stand for 25 minutes before serving.

Serves 12.
