1 1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1/2 c. water
4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
8 c. old fashioned oats
2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
dried cranberries

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275°. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Combine oatmeal and nuts in a large bowl. Combine brown sugar and water in a 4 cup microwave bowl. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Add vanilla and salt. Stir until combined. Pour brown sugar mixture over oatmeal and nuts; mix well. Spread mixture evenly on cookie sheets. Bake about 45 minutes or until golden and crunchy. Remove from oven and add dried cranberries (could use other kind of dried fruit). Cool. Store in an airtight container.
