1 pkg. dry yeast (2 1/2 t.)
1 t. salt
1 t. sugar
6 eggs
1/4 c. warm water
1/2 pint sour cream
1/2 c. flour

1/4 lb. soft butter
cinnamon and sugar
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Make a sponge by dissolving yeast with 1 t. sugar and warm water. Add 1/2 c. flour and milk; let stand.
In another bowl, cream butter and 1/2 c. sugar; add salt and eggs, one at a time, and then sour cream. When mixed, add sponge that has bubbled. Add enough flour to make a workable dough. Knead with hands until dough cleans sides of bowl. Grease bowl and let dough rise, covered, in a warm place until doubled.
Punch down and let rise again. Divide dough in half and knead each section until smooth.
Roll out dough and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll up the dough and cut into 1" slices. Put into greased pans; cover with cloth and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Let cool slightly and turn out of pans while still warm. Frost.
Makes approx. four square pans or two 9x13 pans.
