French Cream Cake Recipe

1 German Chocolate cake mix


1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 c. flour
7 T. butter

1/3 c. Crisco

Bake cake as directed on package, in two layer cake pans. Cool thoroughly on racks.
French Cream Frosting:
Cream sugar, vanilla, butter and Crisco.
Cook milk and flour together in saucepan until thickened like pudding. Refrigerate until perfectly cold.
When cooled, add to the sugar mixture and beat for at least 5 minutes. The longer you beat it the smoother and lighter it will be.
Frost and assemble layers.
