4 c. grated carrots
3 c. water
3 c. sugar
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. cloves
1 t. nutmeg
4 Tbsp butter
4 c. flour
1 t. salt
3 t. baking soda
2 c. chopped walnuts
cream cheese frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Put the top 7 ing. (from carrots through butter) in a pan and simmer for 15 min. Let cool 30 min. Add the next 3 ing. (flour, salt and baking soda) and mix well. Add walnuts to the top. Grease pan to keep mixture from sticking. Add mixture and bake at 325º for 1 1/2 hrs. Let cool. Add a cream cheese frosting or frosting of your choice.
