1 (16 to 20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filing

1 box yellow or white cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted

1 cup nuts, chopped
grated coconut

Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Dump pineapple into prepared baking dish, spreading evenly over bottom.

Dump cherry pie filing over pineapple and spread evenly.

Sprinkle cake mix over top of fruit layers, then drizzle with melted butter.

Top with coconut and chopped nuts. Do not mix.

Bake at 350 50-60 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.

You may add coconut and nuts during the last 15 minutes of baking to keep coconut from getting too brown.
