Ingredients: 4 Bosc pears, ripened 1/8 cup sugar softened butter heavy cream, few tablespoons

Directions: |
Directions:Wash pears and cut each in half; core. Prepare baking dish---size to accomodate 8 pear halves. Brush bottom and sides of baking dish with softened butter; sprinkle with sugar. You can use your own judgement on amount---not enough to "cover" bottom of dish. Place pear halves cut side down on dish; brush tops with butter. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and drizzle heavy cream over top---a few tablespoons. Return to 350 degree oven for 10 more minutes. Serve immediately. |

Notes: This recipe sounds a little "iffy" with it's ingredient amounts, but you cannot do it wrong! The cream should be no more than a few tablespoons--just enough to run over the pears and mix with the sugar in the baking dish. This dish was served at a bed and breakfast I stayed at in Chattanooga, Tn. and it was breakfast dessert!
