2 packages dry yeast or 2 cakes compressed yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup scalded milk
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Soften yeast in warm water, combine milk, shortening, sugar, and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour and beat well. Add yeast mixture and eggs, beat smooth. Mix in enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, turn once to grease entire surface. Cover and let rise until double in size.

Punch down, cover, and let rest another 15 minutes. Turn dough onto floured surface, shape into 28 balls (golf ball size). Roll each ball in melted butter, then in cinnamon sugar mixture, and place in well greased angel food tube pan. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar.

Cover and let double in size. Bake at 350º for 40-45 minutes.
