2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup water
4 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Icing:
1 stick butter or margarine
4 tbsp cocoa
6 tbsp milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together sugar and flour. In a saucepan bring to a boil the butter, water and cocoa. Pour over flour mixture while still hot. Add the buttermilk, beaten eggs, soda and vanilla. Bake in a 9 x 13" or two 8 x 8" pans at 400º for 20 minutes. While cake is baking make icing and spread while cake and icing are hot.

ICING:
Bring to boil butter, cocoa, and milk. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and nuts. Spread on cake while both are hot.
