1 1/2 cup butter or margarine, soft
3 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup dark raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup sweetened applesauce (canned)
1 cup sugar
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cloves
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup golden raisins
1 cup uncooked oatmeal (quick or old fashioned)

Directions:

Beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into well-greased and floured 1 1/2 quart ring mold. Bake in preheated moderate oven 350º for 45 to 50 minutes. Loosen edges; cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan. Cool; frost with thin confectioners' sugar frosting. Makes 1 cake ring.
