4 large whole onions, peeled
3 T. softened butter
1 T. fresh thyme or 1 t. dried thyme
salt and pepper
foil

Slice off and discard the top 1/2 of the stem end of each onion. Spread the cut surfaces with butter and sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper (to taste).Wrap each onion tightly in foil. Bake about 1 hour at 375บบ
