2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
36 marshmallows (for double batch)

Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tbsp cocoa
Dash of salt
3 tbsp butter, melted
4 - 5 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients, set aside. Cream shortening and sugar. Gradually beat, Add egg. Add flour alternately with milk and vanilla. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 7 - 8 minutes at 350º. Top each with 1/2 marshmallow. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Cool and frost. To make frosting, combine sugar, cocoa and salt. Add melted butter, milk and vanilla. (1 batch of frosting will frost double batch of cookies.)
