1 lb fresh asparagus spears
1 egg
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp curry powder
Dash salt
Dash white pepper
3/4 - 1 cup dry fine bread crumbs
3 tbsp margarine
4 green pepper rings

Directions:
Directions:
In skillet, lay asparagus spears flat. Cook, covered in small amount of boiling water, salted, until tender, about 10 minutes; drain. Beat together egg, water, curry powder, salt and pepper. Roll asparagus spears in crumbs; dip in egg mixture and roll again in crumbs. Brown slowly in same skillet in margarine for 5 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally. To serve, make 4 bundles by inserting cooked spears through pepper rings. Makes 4 servings.
