12 eggs
1 lb butter - melted and cooled
1 T anise flavoring or 2 tsp anise seed
1 tsp vanilla
10 tsp baking powder
1 C sugar
12 C flour
1 C chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, sugar, butter and flavorings together. . Slowly mix in flour and baking powder. Blend well. Divide dough into several pieces. Form each piece into long strip and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten the strip to about 1/2" and bake in 350 oven for 12 - 15 minutes. When slightly brown on bottom, remove from oven. Cool a little and slice at an angle about 1/2" thick. Place each slice on cookie sheet and cook til toasted. Makes several dozen cookies.
