2 whole chickens, cut into 8 pcs each
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups flour, separated into 2 dishes
oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and milk together in a deep dish or a bowl. Coat chicken pieces with flour, then into the eggwash, and then into the second flour dish. Put enough oil in a large deep fry pan to be about 1/2" deep. Place chicken into the hot oil, and brown on both sides. Let drain on paper towels, and then place chicken pieces on 1 or 2 sheet pans. Bake in a pre-heated 350º oven for 30-40 minutes.
May be served hot or cold, as needed to prevent starvation.

This was Mom's original way to make fried chicken. As time went on, and we all tried to eat a little healthier, she altered the recipe, but I still like this the best.
