4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1 1/4 c. butter
1/2 t. baking soda
2 eggs
1/4 t. salt
2 t. vanilla

2 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. In separate bowl, cream the sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Beat in milk. Add the dry ingredients and beat until blended.
Using a 1/4 c. ice-cream scoop, place scoops of dough 2 in. apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 375º for 12-15 min. or until golden. Remove and cool on wire racks. Makes 20 giant cookies or lots of smaller ones! These are a favorite.
