2 tbsp corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
5 tbsp butter
1 large can cling peaches
18 slices wheat bread, crusts removed
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and butter in a small saucepan. Heat until bubbly and pour syrup mixture into a 9 x 13" pan. Add peaches to pan. Arrange bread, making 2 layers. Mix eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread, cover pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, remove cover and bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Divide into serving portions. The recipe can be made without the peaches or with other presweetened fruit or raspberries.
