1 pkg.. All beef wieners
1 lb. lean bacon
8 slabs cheddar cheese

Split the hot dogs down the middle, but not all the way through. Slice cheddar cheese lengthwise, so that it fits into the little trough you made in the wiener. Start at one end of the wiener & wrap a slice of bacon all the way to the other end. Secure each end with a toothpick. Bake @ 300 for about 20 minutes. I remove the bacon before serving because it's is limp. But here's my solution if you want to actually eat the bacon. I like the bacon to be well cooked, so I started using the Oscar Mayer pre-cooked bacon. It takes less cooking time & the bacon is edible.

This is another favorite for kids. Nan made them when we were growing up. Mashed potatoes is a great side dish with these, or even cheater oven French fries or tater tots.
