3/4 c. water

3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. margarine or butter
Enough flour to make a stiff dough

Directions:
Mix egg and sugar together; add milk, water and salt. Mix in flour until a very stiff dough is formed. Break off about a handful, roll 1/4 in. thick and cut into nuts the size of your little fingernail. Or cut into strips, one inch wide and 1 1/2 inches long. Make a slit in the middle of the strips, take one end of the strip and draw it through the slit. Fry in hot oil until lightly browned. Shake icing sugar on, if desired (Nigerians don't).
