1/2 cup butter or margarine
8 slices white bread, cut into 1/2" cubes
1 lb pkg frozen rhubarb, thawed
1 10-oz pkg frozen halved or sliced strawberries, thawed
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat; add bread cubes and toss to coat with butter. Raise heat to moderately high, and heat, stirring occasionally, until bread crumbs are golden brown. Combine rhubarb, strawberries, 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice. Place half the fruit in a deep 1 1/2 quart casserole; sprinkle with half of the bread cubes. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 40 minutes. Serve warm, with cream if desired.
