2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups m and m's

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars together with electric mixer: add eggs and vanilla and beat at the medium speed until light and fluffy. Stir in flour mixture and candies until just combined. Do Not over mix !! Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges just begin to turn golden brown. Do not over bake !
* Makes 3 dozen cookies.
