Bob's Caramel Delight Bars Recipe

1 14 oz package caramels (or 34 from the Brach's Bin)
2/3 C evaporated milk
1 box (18 1/2 oz) german chocolate cake mix
3/4 C butter
1 C chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Combine caramels and 1/3 C evaporated milk on top of a double boiler. Stir mixture until melted.

Combine cake mix, remaining milk and soften butter. blend until mixture holds together.. Stir in nuts. Press 1/2 of cake mixture into a greased 13x9 pan and bake for 6 min at 350.

Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate pieces on top.

Pour melted caramel evenly over top. (Now woudl be the time to sprinkle in some coconut if you like) Crumble remaining cake mixture over caramel and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 min.

Cool slightly and cut into bars.
