This recipe is really easy! Nothing has to be exact.

Frozen /Thawed basic pastry crust for 9 inch (2) crust pie
3/4-1 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
6 or so tart apples
2 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 425 degrees. Line 9 inch pie pan with 1/2 crust. Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and flour in large bowl. Peel or don't, core and slice apples. Toss them in the sugar mixture.Coat well
Pour into pan. Put top crust ( add butter underneath). Crimp edges with fork or roll up.
Cut Vents. Bake 10 minutes then lower heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes until apple are tender and brown crust. Serve with whipped cream or warm with wedge of cheddar cheese.
* You could also make apple dumplings use whole apples and cut the pie crusts*
