1 cup sugar
1 cup lard
2 eggs
2 cups molasses
A little salt
1 cup thick sour milk
3 1/2 tsp soda
2 tsp ginger
Flour to make soft dough

Directions:
Directions:
(Add 1 tbsp vinegar to sweet milk to make the sour milk) Just mix everything together, then add the flour. When it gets too stiff to stir, I turn it out and knead more flour into it. Cut Thick. I make balls and press with flour covered glass. Be sure to leave them thick. Bake 350º. Sprinkle with sugar before baking or can be frosted. Makes 16 dozen large cookies.
