1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. white syrup
1/4 c. water
1 Tbl. butter
1/2 tsp. vanila

Directions:
In 2 qt. saucepan, combine sugar, syrup & water. If using candy thermometer, set in place. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar is disolved. Continue gentle cooking without stirring to 265º F or until a little mixture in wold water forms a very hard ball. Add butter, cook to 290º F or until a little mixture in cold water becomes brittle. Remove from heat, add vanilla drop from a regular tsp onto greased pan. When firm, remove with spatula.
