Sweet potato mixture:
3 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes (or one 40 oz. can of yams, drained and mashed)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk

Topping:
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Combine all sweet potato mixture ingredients together, mix well and spoon into a casserole. Combine all topping mixture ingredients together and mix well. Sprinkle topping over sweet potato mixture. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

This recipe is from "Nanny Croft," Cameron's great-grandmother's sister. It is a Christmas tradition in his family that we have continued. If you make this one, you're guaranteed to not have any leftovers.
