3 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2/3 c. water
4 eggs
16 oz can(2c.) pumpkin or squash
2 tsp.soda
1 tsp.(each)salt, cinnamon and nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3 c. flour
1/2 c chopped nuts and raisin
1/2 c. dates
Topping:
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 chopped nuts
2 T. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 T. softened oleo

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease bottoms only of 2 - 9X5 or 4 - 7 1/2X3 3/4 loaf pans. In a large bowl combine: sugar, oil, water, egg and pumpkin. Beat 1 min. at low speed. Add: flour, soda, salt,1 tsp. cinnamon., nutmeg, and cloves. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat at med. speed for 1 min. Stir in nuts and raisin. Pour into pans. In a small bowl, combine all topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. ( For smaller pans double topping.) Bake at 350ºfor 60-75 min. (Small pans bake for about 45-50 min.) Cool and remove from pans.
